    I have another question again.

When we place our boxes or whatever we’re working on in Silhouette, how do we line them up? This sounds silly, I know, but are we able to overlap the colors, or should we try to avoid doing that?

Please see screenshot for a visual reference. The ones on the left are not overlapping, but the ones on the right are.

Hey Rachel, I really hope I’m not bugging you too much. Since I’m switching to Silhouette from Cricut and completed all of the designs I do have in Photoshop, is there a way to still have the same designs and Silhouette cut them when importing from a PNG?

I uploaded one of my kit pages into Silhouette design, but since it’s a PNG, I’m not able to individually place anything anywhere.

So do I need to redo the entire designs in Silhouette to do this, or is there another way to get the cut lines to work?

Thank Rachel. Goodness, no, not giving up. Just giving up on Cricut. I’ve done nothing but fight with that thing since I got it. I should’ve listened to your videos and other people. It seems as though people who do cardstock love the Cricut, but sticker people love the Silhouette. So now I’ll have two machines with, hopefully, better luck and experiences with. Plus, this will help with the course, too, because you are more familiar with the Silhouette to help with troubleshooting if needed 🙂

That’s the problem with Cricut. There are really no videos on troubleshooting or anything for it, or at least that I found. But when I look up Silhouette Cameo, there are tons of videos.

I plan on opening another shop to do card making, but not right now. I got the Cricut to have an all-in-one tool, but that doesn’t seem to be working for me. I’m keeping it for when I do start using vinyl and cardstock, etc. I just have to get my stickers under control first, lol.

Whoops, haha. Sorry. I thought it saved. I didn’t look before leaving. I just did it again; hopefully it works.

Edit: I figured out how to show you, I attached a photo of the issue.

So I’ve figured out that it only happens with some of the designs. I wish I could show you what’s happening, but basically, my boxes need to be touching on the sheet for it not to show, which means I can’t do anything but boxes.

I’m getting ready to just give up honestly. Not on stickers, just Cricut and try a Silhouette.

Okay. So scratch the color issue. I found the option to do so. I also figured out that the color I was having issues with wasn’t the actual color. My yellow was coming out green looking. I fixed that. I can’t print from my printer, then cut with Cricut because they don’t cut right. I tried that, too. My issue is mainly the bleed fades. When I print, the sticker part that I made comes out great, but when I turn the bleed on, the colors are blotchy and faded.

Oh, I didn’t realize that the courses weren’t all the way finished. It’s no big deal. I just thought they were already done 🙂

Thank you! Now I’m off to figure out what is going on with this bleed blotchiness, ugh.

I was just wondering about the printers section. As you know, I use Cricut since I was able to figure out what was going on. But I also bought my Canon Pixma TS9120 before this course, and I use Windows, but I don’t have any options for changing the colors. I can choose my paper type and everything else but not the color intensity. I think my stickers come out nice, but I’m also very new and don’t know what’s a good sticker sheet or not. Obviously the colors appear less bright once printed, but that’s normal. How do we determine this?

Also, is it possible to release all of the lessons for the next course? I’m not a fan of waiting, especially for the next few lessons. I’m ready for the meat and potatoes because holidays are coming up and I want to be ready, but the end of the course is scheduled for the end of August. If not, I guess I’ll just have to wait. Not a big deal; just my preference.

    Thank you!

Haha, I thought it was my internet being slow. I’d pause and play several times throughout each video.

I didn’t think you did, but that’s okay. I joined a FB group as was suggested, and someone in there told me that a Windows update was the problem. So I uninstalled the update shown in my screenshot above, restarted my computer, and tried again. This time, the print then cut worked, and I can upload my sticker sheets from Photoshop into Design Space no problem and print. The cuts are now beautiful and customer ready. I feel like 100 pounds have been lifted.

I bought a bunch of different planners, including Erin Condren, just to get the sizes I needed for my stickers. So when the brand new Cricut wasn’t working, I started to get really stressed out and worried that I screwed up. Now that it’s fixed, it’s business time.

OMG!! That screenshot I posted, I tried that. And it worked! I’m finally back in business! I just don’t understand how an update would mess with something like that. That’s crazy. But the good news is that it worked. Finally feels like I have some weights lifted off of my shoulders.

So I joined a Cricut Facebook group and someone in there sent me this screenshot to try because she had the same problem. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m getting ready to.

Welp, because I bought the darn thing from Hobby Lobby, I can’t take it back. They won’t answer my calls or my emails. Let’s just say I’m extremely P’d off right now. That was $240 that I spent on nothing. I mean, I plan to do vinyl, but I wasn’t going to do that for a while. I don’t really have another $200 to spend on a Silhouette, so now I don’t know what to do. I knew I should’ve got the Silhouette instead.

I have watched videos and everything. I even stayed on hold for literally 3 hours trying to contact them. I’m able to upload the images from Photoshop into Design Space and cut them, but the cut is waaayyy off. I think I figured out a somewhat solution for now, but there is still white space on my stickers. The preview is the problem. I line up my page on the physical mat, but the preview doesn’t show at the 0/0. I’m about fed up with it to be honest. Thank you.

I’m really digging the course right now, although I do wish we had access to all of it at once, but that’s okay. I didn’t think that I would actually invest in planners to get the sizes, but I broke down and done it anyway. So I have everything I need, but I opted for a Cricut machine instead of Silhouette just because I can do more with it. I’m kinda wishing I would’ve went the other way now because I can’t figure out my machine. I’m trying to use Cricut Design Space, and it looks similar to Silhouette’s, but I can’t do as much. So I’m using Photoshop to do my designs. Do you know anything about the Cricut to give any pointers? If not, that’s okay. I think it has something to do in Design Space on why I can’t do what I want it to do. I was wondering if I could use Silhouette to do the designs, but I was also wondering if you’re able to save as an SVG in Silhouette?
