No problem at all Rachel. Please care for yourself first in order to take care of us. I completely understand and send all my blessings to help carry your burdens as you gather yourself.

It’s okay bberry. We’re all here for you. Let’s try to figure this out, so you can get it cut the way you want. There are several ways to do one thing, I’m sure we can find a solution.

Hi Kim, I believe you’re using the wrong file type to use offset. Png files give you a transparent background. You can trace it and use trace and detach, then you can use offset on the png image because you removed the invisible background. I hope that makes sense.

Hi bberry! I have a couple Cricut machines, I love them tons but Cricut’s Design Space isn’t one to be desired by me because it’s so limiting. Silhouette’s Design Studio is way more convenient in creating images from beginning to end. I did try to create projects in Silhouette and saved them as svg and when I opened them in Cricut, it didn’t work properly. It changed my cut lines into perforated lines. I haven’t tried this recently to know if it’s changed through any updates. I urge you to enjoy your Cricut, take everything you can out of these lessons and I would suggest checking out Cricut videos and forums to help with immediate design issues, the Cricut does cut amazingly well. However, if you ever get a chance to get your beautiful hands on a Silhouette machine, I absolutely recommend it. It’s like night and day. I can try to help out any questions with Cricut but I would join Facebook groups, watch youtube videos to learn more about your machine.

Hi Brandee, I’m wondering if your snap to grid is checked on. Look under page setup and click on the middle icon, the one that looks like a graph, and you should see “snap to grid” as a check box option. If the problem still exists, also make sure that the text is aligned to the left. I hope this helps.  ~Erika

Hello! My name is Erika and I’m happy to be here with everyone. I purchased my first machine, the Silhouette Cameo3 about 4 years ago and had fun learning and playing with it. I made decals for family and friends and tons of 3d cutouts and even “tried” stickers. So then, I decided to start a business and opened a shop on Etsy where I make and sell gaming decals. Eventually, I purchased a Cricut Maker so I could learn this machine. I recently wanted to add planners and make planner stickers for gamers. Well, I’m literally stuck. I don’t know why but I feel like I don’t know what, where or how to do it. A couple years ago, I ran into a video by Rachel demonstrating how to make colored glitter patterns and found her instructions so easy to follow and was hooked on her channel. Then learning she was complying a course to teach what I watch her do every week, I was totally in.
I know the basics of Design Studio however I’m sure not everything since I did learn something new today from lesson 3 with adding insets to the flags stickers. I’m excited to go through these upcoming lessons with everyone and take my business to the next level.
