What version of Silhouette Studio are you using? Was it just being slow or did the program completely lock up? The file size seems normal for that style of sticker sheet. I know that some of the newer versions of Silhouette have some issues, so I would suggest downloading an older version of it and see if that helps!

I pretty much use the same settings for everything. Ever now and then I have to adjust for certain kits, but that rarely happens

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterHey Tara,
I’m so sorry about the delay in response. I was out of town most of January due to a family emergency and when I got back I went straight into catching up on stuff for my shop. I’m so sorry!
I’m not sure I completely understand your question though. I think most shops go in and add those dots themselves, so I’m not sure about the confetti overlays on Etsy. I have a feeling (at least from what I’ve seen from other shops) most of them are just creating that and using the layers tool to add it over the sticker. Hopefully that makes sense.
If I hear of anything different I’ll let you know, but I’m pretty sure they are just adding a bunch of dots themselves and it’s not a confetti overlay found on Etsy. However I could be wrong on that.

I have been working on a reformat, but I was unable to screen record the process due to being out of town and not having the program on my laptop to do so. I do have a few new kits planned for newer planners, so I will try to record me setting them up once I return home!

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterI’m sorry for the delayed response! I don’t have the best internet where I am and it’s been a struggle. I’m not sure I completely understand what you are asking. Are you just trying to figure out how to add the overlays in Silhouette Studio? Or is the problem after you have your designs printed?

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterI get most of my artwork from shops on Etsy and my sister has also been drawing some stuff for me lately. 🙂
I hope this helps!

I’m assuming you have a portrait. The mats work fine with the Cameos, but with the portraits I believe Cricut stopped making the mat that fits with them and so you have to cut them. I could be wrong on that though.

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterI have had this issue and every time it was a problem with my wifi and communicating with my printer. We ended up plugging the printer into the computer via USB and that fixed the problem for me. I haven’t had this issue since I did that. I hope this helps!

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterSo I’ve had to calibrate my machines a few times before they work correctly. I guess there are two different types of calibrations, one is a distance adjustment and one is just a regular calibration. I am hoping to get a video up on this on Monday. I just have to have James film it this weekend since he is my calibration guy. LOL.

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterWhat type of paper are you using? I had this problem with weatherproof matte and it was because I had the force too high and so with was cutting way too deep for the paper type. Once I adjusted that settings it worked perfectly. Also, not all blade are the same and sometimes the settings that worked for the last blade are just not right for the new blade. Switching blades is super frustrating because of this. I would recommend just doing some test cuts with the new blades before trying to cut a sticker sheet.

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterI use the subscription because trying to track down every single artist and give them credit in every listing would be really overwhelming. To me it is just so much easier to pay the $9.99 a month and not have to worry about that.
Here is where it talks about giving attribution:https://support.flaticon.com/hc/en-us/articles/207248209

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterAs I understand it, you can still use the icons without the subscriptions, but you have to credit the artist in all of your listings. Your designs also have to be secondary, so you have to add your own elements to your kits as well and not just use their icons. With the subscription you can use the icons and you don’t have to credit each individual artist in order to use them commercially. Their new FAQ section is a little different, so it is a bit more confusing, but that is the way I understand it and I assume that is how other shops also interpret it since they are all using the icons the same way. I’ve been using their icons for five years and I haven’t had any issues so far. I would definitely just make sure to use them in kits and add your own elements as well so the icons aren’t the main designs in your kits.
If anyone interprets their terms of use differently, please let me know and share your thoughts as well. Obviously we want to make sure that we are using art work the correct way. 🙂

Courses.StickySituationsCo.comRachelKeymasterThe photo file is too big, so it’s not showing up. It sounds like your machine needs to be calibrated and specifically it needs adjustments to the distance part of the calibration. I am planning on doing a whole video on calibration and releasing it next week. 🙂
